Miami Open History:
South Beach area tennis tournament roots go back decade of 1960s. Best professional tennis players such as Jack Kramer, Frank Sedgman, Pancho Gonzalez, Pancho Segura and Butch Buchholz. They went out and toured the country in a station wagon, playing tennis in darkened arenas and fairgrounds.
